ETF, (Energy Time Frequency), is a sophisticated yet easy to use measurement tool for loudspeaker and room response measurements. It not only measures frequency response, but also measures impulse response and can deliver waterfall plots. The frequency response is of the utmost importance. However, impulse response and waterfall plots can also provide significant information, particularly when evaluating a rooms excitation frequencies.

This system can be used in conjunction with the CARA software to confirm the theoretical values of CARA, and make final adjustments to the room. The ETF can be used to provide for setting the parameters for the PARC. However, for the best results with the PARC, our BARE software program was specifically designed to work with the PARC.

ETF can be used on a regular PC, and even a laptop, with a less than average soundcard. We do offer a demo version to insure that your soundcard is adequate before purchasing the full version. ETF can also be used with an SPL meter, but it is recommended for more critical measurements that a calibrated microphones be used.
