Rives Audio now offers consulting services for architects and contractors on an "al a carte" basis.

We've had many requests for very finite projects, such as sound isolation in a condominimum or sound control in a restaurant. We are happy to do these relatively small consulting jobs on our regular hourly fee. Many projects such as this are not that time consuming.

Sound Isolation

Often times we are called in once a building is built, paticularly condominiums. Loud neighbors, barking dogs, or the scurrying of children's feet can often make what would be a glorious place to live intollerable. We can usually come up with solutions for the worst problems and have in many cases. What's most unfortunate is that this could have been addressed before construction and would have cost a fraction of the price.

Restaurants

Have you ever been to a restaurant that has beautiful decor, a great menu, superb wine list but you couldn't hear the person you were with across the table? Instead you head the conversation 3 tables down and dishes from the kitchen.

For whatever reason acoustics in restaurants seems to be forgotten, but it is not relaxing to eat a fine meal in a noisy environment. We can keep to a decor and create appropriate acoustics so that people at one table can hear each other and not be overburdened by surrounding tables.

Other projects
