One of the most often overlooked areas to get superior performance is the speaker location. Most are set up for aesthetic reasons, and this may be necessary. However, if you can be flexible with speaker placement optimizing the speaker location is one of the most effective acoustical tools there is. General locations for speaker placement can usually be calculated. However, it is somewhat dependent on the actual speaker. Electostatics and other planers are usually positioned significantly different from their dynamic counter parts.
