The following was sent in from one of our fans. Great selections and he is this months winner!
Moxy Fruvous “Bargainville” Many songs are acappella but not all. The songs are cleverly crafted and heavily based upon the groups tight vocals. “The Drinking Song”, “King of Spain”, and “Gulf War Song” are particularly good examples of impeccable harmonies.
Todd Rundgren “A Cappella” Wow, this is like a chorus of Todd Rundgrens! He demonstrates the versatility of his voice as he performs all the vocals on this album. “Johnee Jingo”, “Pretending To Care” and “Hodja” are simply superb.
The Fairfield Four “Standing In The Safety Zone” Fabulous acapella gospel. A person doesn’t have to be religious to love this. Isaac Freeman on bass brings it all home!
The Persuasions “Chirpin’” Probably one of the best harmony groups of all time. They bring it all together on this album. When I heard “Willie and Laura Mae Jones” on the radio, I knew I had to get this album.
Thank you to Mark from Mahomet, IL. He'll be receiving a free Rives Audio Test CD 2 for his contribution.
