Authorized Dealer Requirements

Dealer Requirements

Rives Audio Dealers are a select group of dealers that want to provide a higher level of service than a typical audio dealer.

Our dealers want to deliver quality of sound both through selling excellent products, but by providing excellent service. Our dealers want to go to the customers home, evaluate the system, and provide knowledge and insight to the customer. As such, we have some basic requirements in order to become a Rives Dealer, and should you choose, advance on to becoming a Rives Audio Certified Dealer.

Our dealers sell both the PARC (Parametric Adaptive Room Compensation) System, which retails for $3200 as well as sell all three levels of service. In order to calibrate a PARC and to take acoustical measurements required for completing a level 2 service client the dealer will need a Rives Audio Professional Test Kit.

The investment of this test kit is $1000 and can take measurements nearly as accurate as systems costing 30 times as much. Once you've taken a measurement to calibrate a PARC, there is an automated algorithm that selects the optimum parameters for you. Setting up a PARC with this kit is literally a 10 minute job. On the acoustics side, the dealer will take the prescribed measurements and e-mail the files to Rives for analysis. Rives will use this to prescribe the necessary modifications in a listening room or home theater.

We expect our dealers with showrooms to have one PARC available for demonstration and for loan to potential customers. Dealers without showrooms, may need a PARC at some point for customer demonstration but we do not require that they inventory a unit at all times. There is of course, no inventory on the acoustical consulting side of the business. This is a point of sale purchase from Rives Audio.

Dealer Certification Program

The Rives Audio Certification Program is very easy. There are three ways to become certified and you do not have to be certified to begin selling Rives products and services. In fact, most dealers become certified as part of the sales process.

  1. Attend HAA level 1 course and complete 2 level 2 acoustical consulting services.
  2. Attend HAA level 1 and 2 and complete 1 level 2 acoustical consulting service
  3. Attend HAA level 1 and Rives Advanced topics course (sponsered by HAA).

See the education section for more information on HAA training.
