Our theater with modest equipment will outperform others with far more expensive gear. We are all believers--acoustics should always be thought of when designing a theater or media room.
One very interesting thing about the design was the diffusion system in the ceiling (see bottom pictures). It's a very simple design, but so effective. It's completely covered in fabric so you never see the angled pine blocking that creates such a spacious acoustical environment.
